Teachers regularly face instructional moments that don’t make sense: a student who can compute but doesn’t understand place value, or an intervention that works for everyone except the one student who needs it most. These are not problems with quick answers.

In this session, participants will explore how AI can serve as a thinking partner—helping teachers work through instructional puzzles by asking better questions, identifying patterns, and challenging assumptions. Rather than using AI to generate ready-made solutions, this approach focuses on using AI to deepen teacher thinking.

Through classroom examples and curriculum design work, participants will learn practical routines for using AI to navigate complexity, refine decisions, and maintain the central role of teacher expertise. Attendees will leave with immediately usable strategies for turning everyday confusion into productive instructional insight.
