Educators across Virginia are being asked to teach AI skills while navigating new tools, new standards, and new expectations for responsible use. This session gives teachers a clear, practical roadmap for bringing AI into the classroom with confidence. Participants will learn a step‑by‑step framework for introducing AI concepts, designing safe student workflows, and using AI to support lesson planning, feedback, and differentiated instruction. The session also demonstrates how “AI sandboxes” allow students to explore AI fundamentals and advanced concepts in a secure, governed environment aligned with Virginia’s new AI curriculum. Attendees will leave with ready‑to‑use templates, classroom activities, and a practical model for teaching students to use AI responsibly and creatively.
