Dr. Beju Rao, PhD, is the founder of Amruta Academy, a division of Amruta Inc. At Amruta Academy, high school students identify a real business or societal problem, define it with precision, and use Amruta Inc.’s enterprise‑grade explainable, governed, observable, and contextual AI software to build robust, real‑world solutions. Students present their work at conferences, publish in journals, and often commercialize their innovations. Their accomplishments strengthen college applications and, more importantly, equip them with durable AI skills that accelerate their long‑term career pathways. Dr. Beju Rao is also the Founder and CEO of Amruta Inc., where he leads the creation of the world’s first operating system for AI‑augmented work—enabling safe, explainable, and governed collaboration between humans and AI. He brings more than three decades of experience in enterprise transformation. At Amruta, he pioneered Workflow DNA, Governed AI Coworker Blueprints, and the AI Coworker Supply Chain, which together help organizations industrialize AI‑enabled workflows at scale. He also serves as a statewide advisor on AI education and workforce readiness, shaping curriculum and hands‑on learning programs across Virginia. Dr. Rao is widely recognized for advancing responsible, human‑centered AI adoption across industries, agencies, institutions, and the future workforce. Currently, Dr. Rao is helping Virginia school districts establish safe, secure, and trustworthy AI sandboxes that allow educators to teach AI fundamentals, advanced concepts, and hands‑on practice in a protected environment. He also supports educators, schools, and districts in securing grants that fund the software, hardware, and methodologies required to accelerate high‑quality AI education.
