About me
I am a 2nd grade teacher in central Virginia who has taught in five school districts across the state, an experience that has shaped my approach to instruction and curriculum design. My work focuses on oral language, literacy, and building content knowledge through interdisciplinary learning.
I developed the GUILD Literacy framework to support inquiry-driven classrooms where curiosity and student thinking guide instruction. In my practice, I use AI as a thinking partner—working through instructional puzzles and refining curriculum over multiple iterations. I am particularly interested in how AI can deepen teacher thinking and decision-making while preserving the central role of professional judgment.
